Credential Offer Delivery

After creating a credential offer, you need to deliver it to the recipient. Skippy ID supports multiple delivery methods to suit different use cases.

Email Delivery

When you issue a credential via email:

  • The recipient receives an email with a link to claim the credential

  • The email includes a QR code for easy mobile access

  • The recipient can click the link or scan the QR code to open the credential offer

Email Template

The recipient will receive an email containing:

  • Subject: "You have a new credential offer from [Organization Name]"

  • Greeting: Personalized message with recipient name

  • Credential Details: Type, issuer, expiration date

  • Claim Link: Secure link to accept the credential

  • QR Code: Visual code for mobile wallet scanning

  • Expiration Notice: Information about when the offer expires

Email Delivery Process

  1. Offer Created: Credential offer is generated with unique URL

  2. Email Sent: System sends email to recipient's address

  3. Recipient Receives: Email arrives in recipient's inbox

  4. Recipient Claims: Recipient clicks link or scans QR code

  5. Credential Delivered: Credential is issued to recipient's wallet

If you choose direct link delivery:

  • A shareable URL is generated

  • You can copy and share this link through any channel

  • The recipient clicks the link to access the credential offer

  • Custom Communication: You want to send the link through your own channels

  • Social Media: Sharing credentials via social platforms

  • SMS/Text Messages: Sending links via text messaging

  • Unique URL: Each credential offer has a unique, secure URL

  • Shareable: Can be shared through any communication channel

  • Secure: Links are protected and expire after a set period

  • Trackable: You can monitor when links are accessed

QR Code

For QR code delivery:

  • A QR code is generated

  • You can download or print the QR code

  • Recipients scan the code with their wallet app to access the credential

When to Use QR Codes

  • In-Person Events: Issuing credentials at conferences, workshops, or events
